Todd Plesko brings more than three decades of experience in 

transportation planning and development to his position directing

a broad range of program development functions for DART. 

He is also responsible for the Planning and Development Department 

which includes the direction of two Divisions: Service Planning and 

Scheduling, and Mobility Programs Development.

Specific functions of the department include:

  • Planning and development 
  • Bus/rail service monitoring, planning and scheduling 
  • Planning and preliminary design for bus and HOV facilities 
  • Special Event planning 
  • Engineering and operation of the HOV system in cooperation  with the Texas Department of Transportation 
  • Intelligent Transportation Systems

 

Special event planning and implementation experience includes the following:

  • 1980   Syracuse (NY) Carrier Dome Transportation System
  • 1981   US Olympic Sport Festival in Syracuse New York Transportation System
  • 1986 – 89  VP Fair (4th of July) Transportation System
  • 2001 – 2008 St.Louis Metro (Bi-State) Special Event Transportation for Professional Sports &  VP Fair
  • 2009 - 12 Texas State Fair and TX-OU Football Transportation System
  • 2010  NBA All Star Game Transportation for DART in Dallas
  • 2011  NFL Super Bowl Regional Transportation Special Event Planning for DART
