Taj Clayton is a highly-regarded Principal at the international law firm of Fish & Richardson, P.C. where he focuses on complex business, intellectual property, and mass tort litigation. He has been recognized as a “Rising Star” by Texas Super Lawyers magazine and has successfully represented a wide-range of clients from award-winning filmmakers to one of the world’s largest financial institutions. He is a former Law Clerk to Chief Judge Mark L. Wolf of the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts.
Prior to his legal career, Taj worked at the National Football League in the Management Council. He also worked on two startup businesses (1) soccer e-commerce company, Fuxito, and (2) e-procurement consulting firm, ICG Commerce. As a member of the first generation in his family to attend college, Taj Clayton worked his way through Harvard College by cleaning dormitory bathrooms and sweeping staircases, among other odd jobs. Taj graduated with Honors from Harvard after making the Dean’s List every semester. He went on to receive his law degree from Harvard Law School.
Taj has been happily married to his college sweetheart for 14 years and is the proud father of two daughters and one son. Outside of the office, Taj has served on the Board of the Dallas Chamber Music Society, Dallas Children’s Theater and volunteered with the Dallas KIPP Charter School and the Circle of Support program. In 2008, Taj served on the Texas 2008 Obama Campaign Finance Committee and was a delegate to the Dallas County and Texas state Democratic conventions. Taj was a candidate to represent Texas’s 30th Congressional District in the United States House of Representatives. Taj currently serves on the National Finance Council for the Ready for Hillary Political Action Committee.
