He has designed compelling work for clients such as Starbucks, Subaru, Microsoft, US Airforce, T-Mobile, Motorola, GE, Disney, Intel, Honda, and BMW through smart design that empowered their audience and strengthened their brand.John founded FiveEdge Media in 2003, a Portland/Seattle based Experience Design Agency that conceived, prototyped and designed innovative, visually compelling application and experience designs with great attention to detail for over twenty eight clients and was acquired by Innerecho, Inc. in 2008. John is active in the design community as a faculty member at Boulder Digital Works, mentor at Boomtown  in Boulder, co-founder of Refresh Portland, and frequent speaker at conferences and events.John is deeply passionate about creating authentic experiences that are truly meaningful.
