Denise is the founder of Starting Point Human Capital Advisors and the spouse of a disabled Army Veteran.  In 2010, her husband was medically retired from the Army, diagnosed with a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and other physical injuries.  In 2014, she left a 12 year corporate career in Human Resources behind to focus on her family & entrepreneurship.  

In her corporate career, Denise led HR & recruitment programs for nationwide organizations and has been responsible for the recruitment of over 6,000 employees across the U.S. as well as coaching 200+ managers in hiring, candidate selection and leadership. That experience inspired her to found Starting Point, a boutique provider of full-service HR solutions including consulting, payroll, recruiting and virtual support. As a MilSpouse, she is an advocate for Veterans employment and feels that while there is much focus on transition, Veterans are not getting enough support after they go to work.  She is over the moon about Starting Point’s upcoming launch of a strategic HR initiative to help Veterans keep civilian jobs once they are hired. Operation Healthy Vet will assist companies in acclimating and retaining newly hiredVeterans as well as incentivize Veteran’s continued participation in health care treatment while working.
